FAQ about The Healing
Codes
What Should I Think about While Doing a Healing Code?
Print this page
Q: "What should I be
thinking about while doing a Healing Code? Am I thinking about the issue, saying that prayer, or
what?"
A: When you are
doing a Healing Code (i.e. pointing to the healing centers), you do NOT want to think about your issue. You
do that before you do a Healing Code. Take just a moment to think
about your issue and rate how much it's bothering you (on a scale of 1-10). Then pray the "prayer of intention" mentioned in the book or manual, including your issue and any earlier memories
that came up for you with that same feeling. With The Healing Codes, you do not need to spend a lot of time
dredging up old memories. Just give your heart a moment to pull up any memories it's decided need healing now.
Don't worry if you can't find any; your heart will know how to find them.
After the prayer of intention, when you pinpoint your issue and any memories that
come up, you begin the Code. At this point you want to focus
on something positive.
This can either be a Truth Focus
Statement that counters the lie you have identified, or something that your heart believes is possible (not, "my cancer is healed" but "I believe my cancer
can heal" or "I believe God is able to heal my cancer," perhaps). You want not to say something over and
over until you believe it (that doesn't work), but to get an image that brings you peace and joy.
My favorite Truth Focus Statement is, "The life-giving light of the Lord
Jesus Christ shines in all my darkness, and brings complete healing, peace, and right relationships with God,
myself, and others." I can picture that. I can feel the peace and healing and imagine myself
embracing/being embraced by Jesus and other people. (For more of my personal Truth Focus Statements, see the
left sidebar--free download.)
Which brings me to the second thing you can focus on: a Love Picture.
This could be a memory of a time when you felt very loved and secure. It
can be a "slide show" of all the people you love and who love you. It can be a picture you make up of a person
or God embracing you. It can be a memory or picture of a pet. (My dog absolutely adores me and sometimes
that's my love picture.) It can be you as a child on a parent's or grandparent's lap. It can be you giving or
receiving love. Any picture that makes you feel good and puts a smile on your face will work very
well.
Here's one of my favorite Love Pictures, that many of my clients also
resonate with.
Picture yourself as a child, crawling up on Jesus' lap. He welcomes you, and
holds you securely with one arm. His left arm. With his right arm he is conducting all the affairs of your life and
indeed, the whole world, as a conductor would conduct am amazing symphony. In this picture he is also singing. With
you on his lap, he is singing about how much he loves you, how much he enjoys his ability to conduct the affairs of
your life and the whole world, how he will make sure everything is OK. Listen to him singing; feel his love and
delight in you, as well as his quiet confidence in his ability to save and to conduct the affairs of the whole
universe. From the smallest subatomic particle to the details of your life to whatever it takes to keep the
heavenly bodies in place, he is quietly confident in his ability to take care of anything and everything and to
work it all into a beautiful harmony.*
When you are in this relaxed state of the frequency of love, and pointing to
the healing centers in the best sequence for your neutralizing the negative frequency of your issue, shifts
take place inside and that's how healing happens!
*In case you wonder if this
image is biblical, here are the scriptures it's based on: Jesus blessing the little children; the many, many
passages about God's love for each person and about him being in control of everything, particularly
through Jesus' lordship from Hebrews and Revelation; his love for each person that is woven through the whole
of Scripture; and from my favorite verse in the Bible, Zephaniah 3:17:
"The LORD your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”
(NIV)
The third thing you can do, which is especially helpful if
you find it hard to concentrate on the first two things, is use Elio's Music for the Healing
Codes.
There are 12 selections in each category, one for each of the 12 Healing Code
categories (described in chapter 11 of The Healing Code book, also
in the Healing Codes Manual). You
can order the Music for the Healing Codes album with the 30-second prompts, so that you can just relax, let the
music provide the positive frequency, and you just point and change position every 30 seconds.
